Microscopy Core
Our microscopy core offers equipment that allows for a wide range of techniques. We currently offer brightfield and epifluorescent imaging capabilities and are excited to announce we will be adding a confocal system to the core soon!
With these options and our analysis workstation, you will be able to collect high-quality data and prepare beautiful images for publication.

Nikon Ti2-E Confocal System
Large Field-of-View Nikon Ti2-E Inverted Research Microscope for Rapid, High Resolution Image Acquisition and Analysis.
Up to 5-channel fluorescent multiplexing possible: DAPI, FITC, TxRed, Cy5, and Cy7.
6-position, motorized nosepiece with CFI PLAN APO LAMBDA 2x, 4x, 10x, 20x (DIC) and ELWD 40x objectives. Available upon request are 60x and 100x (DIC) oil objectives.
The upgrade to AXR resonant confocal scanner/NSPARC Super Resolution Detector and Tunable 4-Channel Spectral detector System is complete. If you are interested in using this state-of-the-art system please contact me.

Zeiss Axioskop 40
This Zeiss upright system is equiped with 4x, 10x, 20x and 100x oil ACHROPLAN objectives and a 40x Neo-Fluar objective.
Filter cubes for DAPI, FITC and Rhod, are powered by an X-cite 120 LED Boost system.
The camera is the AxioCam MRc5.
Stand alone computer with software for image capture and analysis.

Life Technologies EVOS FL Color Imaging System AMF 4300
Digital Inverted Microscope
The EVOS FL Imaging System (Cat. No. AMF4300) is a fully integrated, digital, inverted imaging system for four-color fluorescence and transmitted-light applications.
It combines precision optics, a 15 inch high-resolution LCD display, and a highly sensitive Sony ICX445 monochrome CCD camera (1280 × 960 pixel resolution, 1.3 Megapixels) to aquire images seamlessly through the intuitive user interface using a mouse for easy control.
The LED light cubes output remarkable intensity over a short light-path that delivers superior fluorophore excitation. Each light cube contains a precisely matched set of optical components to optimize the position, evenness, and intensity of the light beam. Digitally controlled LED light sources allow adjustment of illumination levels, dramatically improving control over photobleaching. Hard-coated filters give sharper edges and significantly higher transmission efficiencies than traditional soft-coated filters.
